The Talbot Inn, Chaddesley Corbett
The Annual Christmas Lunch of the Midlands Section took place at The Talbot Inn in Chaddesley Corbett on the 13th December. Capacity attendance is 52 but local floods and illness reduced the actual number to 46 on the day with only 3 Lagondas braving the conditions. Nevertheless everyone relaxed and the Midlands Enthusiasts Trophy of a winged Mercury was presented jointly to the well known and respected Clive Dalton and John Batt who have done so much for our Club and travel many miles to our meetings. The whisky donated by the Club went to Mike Fisher who had actually travelled the shortest distance to lunch but deserved recognition for his talented restoration of the figure of Mercury.
