A fine weekend, a fine display of cars and excellent company - what more could the Lagonda enthusiast want. At dinner on Saturday night we were entertained by our President David Hine with his amusing ditties and at the AGM on Sunday he oversaw the hand over of the Chairmanship to Jonathan Oppenheimer. Brian Saville was thanked for his four years in office and Tim Wadsworth, Competition Secretary, gave advanced notice of events in September 2010 to celebrate 75 years since the Lagonda win at Le Mans.
Just under 60 cars turned out to compete for concours prizes for which the standard seemed to be higher than ever. Picnics were eaten, spares exchanged, and regalia purchased. Reluctant to leave such an enjoyable occasion the cars slowly departed for their various destinations. It had been another excellent AGM and we will be back again at The Manor on October 3/4th 2009.
